<046> 1769 Translation: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 1901 ASV Translation: 21 because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. Textual Issues: There is a minor spelling variation between the Textus Receptus and the Nestle/Aland 26 in respect to the word translated "were thankful/gave thanks". Both spellings have the same meaning and parse the same way. Notes: There is only a very minor textual variation between the Textus Receptus and the Nestle/Aland 26 that consists of a change in word order. The Textus Receptus puts the word "for" in front of the word "God" and the Nestle/Aland 26 puts it after.
